Elena Ruiz-Varela

Elena has closed more than six hundred property purchases for foreign buyers, from flats in Madrid to villas on the Costa del Sol, and has sat through enough notary appointments to know which questions are asked at the last minute. Her clients are usually buying from abroad and rarely set foot in the office before completion.

She leads the real estate practice and works closely with the tax team on the planning that goes with a purchase. Before Fuero she spent six years in the real estate department of a Málaga firm. Elena studied law at the Universidad de Granada and speaks German from a childhood spent partly in Hamburg.
